The ocean aint lookin the same
The café don’t look friendly anymore
On the sand I write your name
Trying to pacify your soul
Rest in peace sweetheart
Don’t worry if my eyes are sore
Down with the sun you are
Gone with the tide you are
Faded in the wind you are
Never fading from my heart
The café don’t look friendly anymore
On the sand I write your name
Trying to pacify your soul
Rest in peace sweetheart
Don’t worry if my eyes are sore
Down with the sun you are
Gone with the tide you are
Faded in the wind you are
Never fading from my heart
This poem is about a newly wed, young girl, who has lost her husband. She sits on the beach by sunset in my vision, and weeps for the departed one. Its my writing, through her emotions. I hope I have done justice to her.
